Although I am a Kzin Hero with a full Name, I also have an artistic side. I use the freeware raytracing program POV-Ray to create my images. I've included models of Babylon 5 starships, because a StarFury would make an excellent fighter... In the Uplift Universe, humans and their hairy cousin-monkeys are hunted little nobodies. I like that... The Star Trek ships have the destructive power of the Great Fanged God (I was raised Kdaptist myself), yet they are used for peaceful exploration and monkey curiosity! In the past, they sent those cheap Kzin-wannabes, the Klingons, packing home to their planet, so I'll give the Federation the benefit of the doubt... Urrr... Here's one of my... what do you humans call it...? Yes... "home movies." Here's a friendly little game of cat and mouse... I call it "Chmeee's Hunt"...

Utilities

I've created a new utility that makes animating bezier patches (from sPatch, for example) much easier. It's a Perl script that smoothly inbetweens a list of POV files into an animation. I originally intended it for animating Poser bodies for POV-Ray, but it appears that simple inbetweening does not work right for smooth_triangle normals. It's still great at animating sPatch-generated bezier patches, though.

I'm really Steve Sloan, a relatively mild-mannered human being, and you can see the real me at my main home page. I'll put real-world facts in italics, kinda like the Star Trek Encyclopedia, to help you keep track. ...And here's a little message, from the comic strip, "Mother Goose and Grimm"...
